Microsoft Dynamics ERP
Georgia Nut Company
Established in 1945, Georgia Nut Company
(GNC) develops and manufactures the highest quality roasted and salted nut meats for snacks, confections, and ingredients.
Before implementing Microsoft Dynamics AX,
Georgia Nut had a number of outdated
business systems, which were heavily
dependent on manual data entry. These
disparate systems and manual processes made
it difficult for GNC executives to gather
accurate, real-time data in order to make
informed business decisions. With
increasing customer demands, regulatory
compliance requirements, and revenue goals,
the company wanted a system that would
improve quality control and profitability,
and be flexible enough to expand with their
future strategy plans and goals. With Microsoft Dynamics AX, GNC will take advantage of a unified, Microsoft-based platform that is easy to adopt, fast to deploy, and easy to leverage in combination with other Microsoft software already used, providing a low total cost of ownership. After initial discovery discussions with Microsoft, Merit Solutions was recommended to GNC due to their experience with Food ERP Software.

MannKind Corporation
MannKind Corporation is a biopharmaceutical
company developing innovative products and
drug delivery systems to treat and prevent
chronic diseases. MannKind needed to upgrade
from an existing accounting
software application they had
chosen during their start-up
phase to a complete system that
would handle everything from
financials to engineering to
production. What’s more, it
needed to allow MannKind to be
compliant with FDA requirements. The company’s desire for sophisticated raw materials tracking and reporting required a
solutions partner with particular skills and capabilities to support such needs. MannKind selected Microsoft Dynamics and implemented financial management, human resource management,
manufacturing, and customization tools, along with Merit Solutions' Life Sciences modules. The company chose the system for its ease of use, the extensive
functionality needed to meet unique requirements, and because it is well supported by
the company and a network of partners. Learn more about why

Mid-Continent Instruments
Mid-Continent is a leading designer and manufacturer
of electric gyros, engine gauges, and miscellaneous instruments for
every propeller-driven aircraft manufacturer within the U.S. Mid-
Continent also operates one of the world's largest, FAA-approved
instrument overhaul/exchange programs for various manufacturers. Entering 2000, Mid-Continent faced several problems that limited
worker productivity and threatened to restrict company growth. Poor visibility into inventory and operational data and a lack of data
integration were the root of numerous problems. Mid-Continent’s executives were concerned about the effect these
problems were having on the bottom line. In addition to the
obvious operational inefficiencies, poor inventory visibility was
causing both overstocks and stock-outs. Uncertainties about
inventory forced sales agents to turn away time-sensitive orders.
On top of this, the company’s existing software solution crashed
frequently, bringing production to a halt. Mid-Continent
Instruments deployed
Microsoft Dynamics
software to fix poor
inventory visibility and to
automate the sharing of
data between
departments. Inventory
accuracy is up, inventory
spending is down,
personnel costs have
fallen, and sales agents
can accept orders that
they used to turn away. Read

Oy Finn-Tack Ltd.
Over
the last 28 years, Finn-Tack has grown to
include three production plants, two
warehouses, and 900+ retailers worldwide. In
order to facilitate future growth and
increase customer satisfaction across
locations, Finn-Tack recognized the need to
offer credit options to some of their
customers. After discovering limitations in their current system that would not meet their business process needs, Finn-Tack turned to the Merit Solutions Development Team. Through custom coding, the team was able to extend Microsoft Dynamics AX to enable a revolving credit option to Finn-Tack’s customers. This meant their customers could now make purchases as often as they wanted, up to a certain credit limit. It then allowed them to decide when to pay off invoices, with minimum monthly payment installment options.

Mobile Life Ventures
Mobile Life Ventures was recently acquired
by Granite Creek, a private equity company
based out of Chicago. In order to monetize
all investments, Mobile Life needed a
central system put in place that would work
in conjunction with their retail POS system
to track sales transactions and financial
reporting. It was mission-critical for
Mobile Life to have the system up and live
within two weeks. Merit Solutions was able to meet the two-week go live date on time and
under budget. Due to our ability to ruthlessly focus the scope on the
essentials needed on the day of launch and expanding the system from there,
we were able to help Mobile Life Ventures organize their information and
capture critical sales and financial data. From day one, Mobile Life was
importing hundreds of financial records representing thousands of inventory
and initial sales transactions from nearly 100 locations. The client’s Project Manager was able to consolidate basic infrastructure and a
robust ERP solution, integrate it with the POS system, and give the
administration team the tools they needed to do their jobs with minimal direct
involvement in the setup of the ERP system. Learn more about

United Way Services of Greater Cleveland
United Way Services provides fee-based
accounting services—including payroll
processing, financial-report generation and
vendor payments—to Ohio not-forprofit
organizations. By the late ’90s, decision
makers at United Way Services realized the
agency would soon need a new financial and
accounting solution. The new system had to be flexible, affordable and easy-to-use.
Most of all, though, it had to provide outstanding reporting capabilities and be
able to serve a wide range of customers. United Way looked at several different
software solutions, ultimately choosing
Microsoft Dynamics. United Way’s investment in Microsoft
Dynamics is
paying off in many ways, including: easy access to information, fast and
seamless transaction processing, simplified

Microsoft SharePoint
Numerical Algorithms Group
(NAG)
While NAG’s headquarters are located in Oxford, UK, it is a distributed enterprise with several locations around the globe. To be able to deliver high-quality computational software on a repeatable, consistent basis, NAG recognized the need to encourage two-way communication and increase collaboration with members of the organization. After building an in-house web portal to store mission-critical material of interest, it soon became clear that their formal portal wasn't designed or structured in a way that would allow them to follow best practices for information sharing. An initial discovery session resulted in selecting Microsoft SharePoint as the most cost-effective solution that met all business requirements. Microsoft SharePoint provided the functionality needed to build, grow, and maintain an intranet unique to specific business process needs. In addition, SharePoint provided a familiar user interface that was easy to use and understand, which could facilitate collaboration and speed user adoption.
